Welcome to Second Harvest: Abundance, Appreciation, Art
This month welcomes harmony between the night and day with the celebration of the Fall Equinox, or Mabon. We celebrate the festival of the second harvest as we begin to feel our energy slowing from the summer days and beginning to turn more inward. This is the perfect time to complete our projects and tend to our emotional body with copious amounts of time spent by the water. Notice the play of light and shadow, and luxuriate in as many sun rises and sun sets as possible. The light is precious.

Connect with the harmony of the season
We have a moment of stillness in the midst of the busy harvest season with the equal days and nights on the Equinox. As a mirrored partner to the Spring Equinox/Ostara, this is the gateway into the darkest quarter of the year. Our bodies feel all of Gaia’s changes, and are ready to gradually slow down and connect with our soul essence. Our emotional body is deeply active, though it may seem apparent or not. It is a beautiful season of ripening, receiving, and sharing, and I am honored to share it with each of you.

The journey this month takes us into the capacity for sharing and togetherness the Celtic people valued so highly. To prepare for this 20-minute meditation, sit or lie comfortably near your altar or in a private space outside. Bring a candle if possible, and have your pen and journal ready to record insights after.
